Yuka Yamaguchi makes “useless toys” that are cool

Yuka Yamaguchi was born in Kobe, Japan and now lives in Saskatoon, Canada. Yuka says, “I’m an artist. I’m self-taught. I make useless toys and art for adult children.”

Panni Malek: purveyor of lingerie

A native Angelina, Panni Malek was born in 1984 in sunny West Hollywood. She has a taste for fine fashion, lingerie and antique lace.

Parskid

Parskid was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest where he draws inspiration from his childhood, the weather and rusty surfaces. He experiments with paint, plush and digital mediums. His work has been exhibited in many cities in the United States including LA and NYC and abroad in Australia, Taiwan, Spain and the UK. His work has been published in the following magazines: King Brown, Art Prostitute, Cool’eh, Novum, Beautiful/Decay, Day in the Lyfe, and Dirty Soup. As well as these published books: Canceled Flight, War of Monstars, Pictoplasma 2 and Monstaah!. Three decks came out of this collaboration. In addition, long time loyal Murakami assistant “MR.? also does three decks. All six decks drop this Thursday at Supreme worldwide. 2H: Caliginous

2H (born 1983 in Texas) is a prolific contemporary American artist. 2H works in both fine arts media, such as painting; Street art, such graffiti, wheatpasting, stencils; as well as digital and commercial media. He attempts to blur the boundaries between high and low art. He appropriates popular themes from mass media and pop culture while using his own unique style coined 2Hism, then turns them into large Paintings, Installations, or occasionally marketable commercial goods such as prints,clothing etc while trying to maintain his independent focus from selling out to large global corporate entities. Caia Koopman

Caia Koopman is a native of California and was born in Livermore. She majored in fine art and earned a B.A. at UC Santa Cruz, California. Santa Cruz turned out to be the place that seduced her to the local skateboarding scene.

In addition to receiving an academic education, Caia also learned to skate ramps, streets, pools, and Derby Park. Skateboarding led to skateboard graphics, and her first limited edition team T-shirt design for Santa Cruz Skateboards. After earning her art degree, Caia became addicted to snowboarding and spent many winters following the snow. It was this addiction that inspired her to strive for a career creating snowboard graphics and later branching out to become a commercial artist. Her artwork has been featured in numerous national and international print media including Surfing Girl, Mademoiselle, Details, Girl’s Life, Snowboarder Magazine, Teen, Teen Style, Teen People, J-14, Fine , and others. Caia designed T-shirt graphics and promotional illustrations for many companies, such as: Quiksilver/Roxy, Hurley, Op, AT&T, and Casio.

Caia’s paintings have been used commercially for many years as graphics for snowboards, skateboards and wakeboards for major companies such as K2, Morrow, and Hyperlite. Caia has also been featured on MTV, “mtv sports” as an athlete/artist for her snowboarding and painting. Caia has shown her paintings in a number of galleries around the world and most recently at La Luz de Jesus in LA. She is currently working as a freelance illustrator and painter in Oceanside, CA.
